Morrigan’s Call Retreat Code of Conduct
- We all come from different places and traditions and gather together as kin. Be respectful of the paths, beliefs, and traditions of others even if they conflict with your own. The organizers of this event welcome people of any culture, background, race, sexuality, gender identification, lifestyle, political stance, and age and ask that all walks of life be respected and treated with kindness.
- As part of our rituals this weekend, we will be honoring the land and the spirits connected to it. Respect the land around you by keeping camp and shared spaces clean and making the effort to pick up any trash you see.
- Respect the boundaries and personal space of others. Any behavior that is reported or perceived as sexual harassment or sexually inappropriate must be stopped immediately upon request. The retreat organizers reserve the right to remove any perpetrators of such behavior from the premises of the event without refund.
- Practice responsible behavior at all times. Practice compassion for all as often as possible.
- Any child/ren under your care or guardianship must be accompanied by you or another authorized adult at all times.
- Use of alcohol by participants over 21 is allowed; please drink responsibly. Do not serve alcohol to minors under any circumstances. Cannabis usage is legal in CT for adults over age 21. As in most places, it is still considered smoking in a public area and so we ask that this be done responsibly and in the designated smoking area.
- No illegal drugs are allowed.
- If you are a smoker/vaper, please use only the designated smoking area and receptacles for this.
- Participants will be asked to stop any illegal, dangerous, harassing, or inappropriate behavior and are expected to comply immediately.
- Please do not handle or touch anything that is not yours. This goes for all areas of camp including the Temple.
- When taking a picture or video, be sure to have the permission of all people present.
- Tenting is only allowed in designated areas; see camp map before setting up.
- Open flame is not allowed near the bathhouse or dining hall; do not leave any open flame unattended.
- The cabins are fitted with smoke detectors; there are no fires allowed except at the designated fire pit area and in the designated charcoal cooking grills. No propane flame cooking is allowed.
- Participants are asked to follow this code of conduct as well as all other requests put forth by the event organizers.
- It is to be understood that ANY dangerous, disruptive or disrespectful behavior or any failure to abide by the requested policies may result in your removal from the event without a refund.
